Great relationships have 8 foundations (4 attributes & 4 attitudes). Building a relationship is like building a house. It has to be built from the ground up. When it is built as a strong structure it will endure the storms of life.

Attitude #1 – Service
Service is the attitude that is built on the attribute of love.
Service is an attitude before it becomes an action. If not it feels like an obligation of performance.
Questions for service:
- Who do we serve?
- How do we serve?
- Where do we serve?
Attitude #2 - Forgiveness
Grace is the attitude that is built on the attribute of forgiveness.
We have been given grace that overcomes every performance that we ever have done, ever will do or are doing right now.
Forgive is to “fore give.” It is the giving in advance not looking to the past for absolution.
If we are walking in grace, we accept ourselves and give acceptance freely.
We can’t give away what we don’t have.
Attitude #3 - Respect
Respect is the attitude that is built on the attribute of value.
Again, we can’t give away something we don’t have.
Profit is taking something you find and making it better than you found it.
How we do something is how we do everything.
Attitude #4 - Trust
Trust is the attitude that is built on the attribute of truth.
If I live truth, I create trust.
Forgiveness is given; trust is built.
Authenticity trumps accountability.
