There are 4 responses to emotions. We can repress them, suppress them, express them re-actively or we can express them proactively using the NEED method.

The 4 Responses To Emotions:
Repress: Block, restrain, keep in check.
Suppress: Mute, subjugate, put it down, don’t deal with or act as if it doesn’t exist.
Express Reactively: Retaliate, reciprocate, disburse, give it right back.
Express Proactively (Use the NEED method below):
Name what you feel.
Explain the reason you feel this way.
Examine a loving attitude or action I can apply to this experience.
Deal with feelings personally before relationally.
